You've joined WorkCo. Every employee reports to exactly one manager except the CEO, about six levels deep. People are staffed onto projects — three at once, with a different role and a different percentage on each. Finance needs last quarter's allocation, not today's. And a reorg occasionally moves an entire sub-tree under a new manager in one action.
