You just joined Wayfare, a cab-booking app. Someone books a ride, a nearby driver accepts, they get picked up, and they pay on arrival. Here is the thing to notice: the same person can drive on Saturday and book a cab on Sunday. So a driver and a passenger are not two different kinds of people to store separately — they are one person, doing two different things on two different trips. Design the first simple database behind it.
